ATL also has multi-Grammy award winners, contemporary Christian artists Third Day and Casting Crowns, to country's finest including Travis Tritt, Mark Wills, Trisha Yearwood and newcomers Sugarland. Artist are developed and also come here to be a part of the thriving music scene. Atlanta's television market is now ranked by Nielsen Media Research as being in the top ten. Atlanta is on track to pass the nation’s capital and move higher in the ranks. Atlanta is one of the fastest growing markets in the country. Home to John Sabato, 7 time Emmy nominee for his set design on MadTV and we are a major news site as Atlanta is home to CNN, and the Cartoon Network. In the past Atlanta have been home to prime time TV shows such as Heat of the Night and has recently had Matthew McConneghy here on location for his new film. Speaking of which, the film market here has a burgeoning independent scene. And one of our hottest development groups is Art Within. A faith based media group with their first sold screenplay idea to Lionsgate, aka Crash, aka Oscar winner. Other production companies working to influence the world for Christ through media are Holy Hilly productions, Swanky Productions and Daisy Productions to name a few. In the realm of theatre the Alliance Theatre is the Southeast foremost Equity house. From its inaugural presentation of King Arthur, to its Broadway-bound premiere production of The Color Purple, the Alliance has consistently advanced the art of theatre. Over the years, the Alliance has produced more than 40 World Premieres including an adaptation of Carson McCullers’ The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, Pearl Cleage’s Blues For An Alabama Sky, Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, and Alfred Uhry’s The Last Night of Ballyhoo. With so much going on Hollywood Connect...Southern Style has partnered with ministries such as Relevate, Intown Community Church, Buckhead Church, Life in the Light, Art Within, Hollywood Prayer Network/Atl, are working together to seek, find and gather the Christian Atlanta entertainment community together, meet, encourage and come together to know who we are for Him. Our current upcoming project is a simple evening, hosted in an Atlanta home, with all artists coming together to meet. It will be our first opportunity to see the all the individuals together as group thus really see “our community”. Right now Hollywood Connect….Southern Style is seeing that Christians are hungry to connect, to meet one another, hear what is going on in their community and join together for Him.
